Mardi Shader is a very dedicated and committed individual. She has been a member of the Dorothy B. Morrell Community Cultural Series committee for the past three years. For the last years, she has served as the co-chair of the committee. She has done an outstanding job of leading this committee and helping the Cultural Series achieve tremendous success. We look forward to her continued leadership.

Mardi has also served on the board of Congregation Ohev Shalom for many years. She has been the Scholarship Chair for the synagogue for many years. She also serves on the synagogue Sisterhood board and for the past 3 years she has been chairman of the Sisterhood Judaica Shop. She is a past Sisterhood "Woman of the Year" and this year is chair of the "Women of the Year" committee. For 13 years she was a member of the Congregation Choir.

Mardi is also active with the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando, where she chairs the Womens Division. She is on the Jewish Federation Board of Directors and the Executive Board.

For being such a giving person and a valuable asset to our community, Mardi Shader deserves Mensch of the Month.
